WHO WE ARE

Al Bunnia Groups’ principles derive from its owner and founder Haj. Mahmood J. Al Bunnia. With a shrewd mind for business along with a strong faith, Haj. Mahmood always tried to attain success both in life and hereafter. This belief is something that can be seen in all his businesses which is what led to an excellent work ethic and strong commitment to the group’s customers and stakeholders. In order to fulfill his duties as a Muslim, Haj. Mahmood started a charity from one third of his own personal business equity. The funds from this foundation have been used to build the major public Baghdad mosque, along with hospitals and schools. The funds are also given as a scholarship grant to sponsor at least a dozen students on a need basis in different educational institutions. With these steadfast principles, Al Bunnia Group has been able to grow into a successful enterprise despite the turbulent socio-economic environment during the past century. The success of this organization stems from long term focus and staying away from the political center stage. Another strong principle the Al Bunnia Group believes in that business success is solely dependent on employee commitment. Today Al Bunnias 6500 employees form a diverse background and have a wide range of skillsets. These include, but are not limited to doctors, engineers (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical), financial consultants and a large number of skilled and technical employees. With the best possible work environment provided to them, the employees become part of the Al Bunnia family.

IN THE 1950S, THE MANAGEMENT EXTENDED TO INCLUDE HIS THREE SONS:
